Andrew’s latest publication, Conversations with Remarkable Women, is his first nonfiction book. After reading several books about the lives of women and the disgraceful way the male species has treated them over the centuries by often ignoring or deliberately stifling their potential, he came up with the idea of interviewing some of those who refused to be consigned to the shadows of anonymity.

His second book, Conversations Marvellous Muses, is now available from Amazon. In another set of fascinating imaginary conversations, the author meets amongst others: Albert Schweitzer, Pablo Picasso, Gala Dali, Louis Armstrong, Martha Graham and the genius Alan Turing.

Andrew is the author of over twenty books on management. His weekly podcast, 50 Ways to Succeed at Work (https://www.50ways.site/) is now in its third year. Many of his books, such as Leading the Way, have been translated worldwide. For example, his book Charisma has been translated into over 17 languages.

His long-running book Essentials of Management was shortlisted for the book of the year by the CIPD, the people management professional body.

Originally trained as an economist, Andrew has an MA in Human Resources and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. He started his working career in marketing and later joined The Observer newspaper as a business feature writer, including his regular careers column, You and Your Job. Later, his column on social services provided a natural move into local government, where he established and managed a significant research and development unit in a London local authority.

As an assistant director of social work, Andrew led a diverse range of teams, setting up and managing a substantial adult service division with over 1,000 staff and numerous residential homes and day centres.
